Condition grades.
Every suppressor listed here is graded on the same five-rung scale, so one can is comparable to another. A seller picks the grade; the photographs have to support it.
The scale describes wear, not damage. A suppressor with a baffle strike, a bent or cross-threaded mount, or any fault affecting function does not belong on this ladder and should not be listed without that fault described in full in the listing text.
New
NewUnfired and still sealed. The box has not been opened, the finish is untouched, and every accessory the manufacturer shipped is present. A suppressor that has been mounted for a photograph is not New.
Like new
Like newUnfired, but no longer sealed -- opened, handled, perhaps mounted and dry-fitted. Indistinguishable from New in the hand, and honest about the fact that someone has had it out of the box.
Excellent
ExcellentFired, but lightly: roughly 200 rounds or fewer. Carbon on the internals, no meaningful finish wear, no erosion at the blast baffle, threads clean and unmarked. Looks close to new under normal light.
Very good
Very goodA working can with visible use. Light finish wear at the mount and muzzle, normal carbon, perhaps faint handling marks. Nothing that affects function, alignment, or the integrity of the threads.
Good
GoodSound and fully functional, with wear you will notice: finish loss, tool marks at the mount, heavier carbon or discolouration from heat. Everything works and the threads are true; it simply is not pretty. Damage that affects function does not belong on this ladder at all.
A grade is a claim by the seller, not an inspection by us. What we do is make the claim checkable: the same photographs in the same order on every listing, the serial shown in full, and the grade printed beside the price wherever the listing appears.
If a suppressor arrives at your dealer materially below its grade, do not accept it. Escrow has not released at that point — the seller is paid only after you take possession — so the money is still protected while it is sorted out.
